Solus has been great for me in 2018. Not yet reach 4.0 still 3.9999999. Not sure I'll see much changes of Solus, before moving over to MX permanently in 2019. Can't wait to move and stay with a Linux distro forever. I'll still checkout other Linux distro's in a VM. Debian has always been my favorite distro and base off of Debian. Today is 10/14/2018 Solus is still strong and stable. No problems since I started using Solus and it's would be a great Linux distro for beginners. When I move to another Linux distro. I stick with their defaults at first. See what works and what don't work for me. I'll replace or tweak all defaults to all my needs and wants. I never bring any of my config files over to a new distro I'm using. I build again from scratch. Mostly because I'll be using different software packages anyway. All my important files and data are always store on my external hard drive. So I have instant access to all my files and data after I mount it to my current Linux distro. Just how I roll and it really doesn't take that much time to do so. Most people thing it as a long progress. And in no time I'm back and running like usual.
